Carnival Is Over

Regina and Valerio form a passionate and joyful couple, living a lavish life in their upscale villa perched atop the hills of Rio de Janeiro. Following the passing of Valerio’s father, the city’s most notorious mobster, they yearn to break free from the dangerous criminal underworld surrounding them. However, Valerio’s uncle, Linduarte, demands that he take up the family’s illicit legacy. One evening, while trying to persuade Linduarte, an unexpected tragedy occurs—they unintentionally cause his death. This event triggers a relentless cycle of violence, ultimately dragging them down the very path they had hoped to avoid.
