In 1995, just a year prior to the enforcement of a nationwide gun control policy, Mangya Town was rocked by a sudden crisis. A notorious bandit leader—who had concealed a significant treasure—escaped from prison, rallying a formidable gang of forty-three ruthless outlaws from surrounding regions. United under Beishan’s command, they launched a violent siege, encircling Mangya by force. The peaceful town quickly descended into chaos, with residents cut off from essential supplies such as fuel and communication channels. The bandits’ demands were clear: they sought money and posed a lethal threat to the townspeople. As gunfire erupted amidst the looming threat of an approaching sandstorm, the odds seemed insurmountable—one defender against eighty-eight attackers.
