The Beast Hand

Osamu Kogure is a young man recently released from prison, struggling to survive in poverty while living in an abandoned house and taking on various odd jobs. His difficult life takes a darker turn when Inui, an abusive senior from prison, reappears to intimidate him. Inui forces Osamu to disclose the whereabouts of his former girlfriend, Koyuki, whom he then kidnaps, subjects to violence, and assaults. During a robbery planned by Inui that goes awry, Osamu loses his left arm. Koyuki brings him to a doctor connected to the yakuza, who administers an experimental treatment that regenerates Osamu’s arm—but it returns as a monstrous, uncontrollable beast-like hand. As Osamu and Koyuki attempt to rebuild their lives together, they find their troubled past continues to haunt them relentlessly.
