Maya

Maya, a dedicated physiotherapist in her forties, moves to the UK following a painful divorce and the heartbreak of infertility. Residing with her compassionate aunt Ammu, she tends to withdraw emotionally, channeling her energy into her work. Her life takes a new turn when she begins treating Mahesh, a resilient sixty-year-old Marathi man recovering from a fracture. At first, Mahesh is resistant and confrontational, but after his son Siddharth—an optimistic widower and committed father—intervenes, he agrees to undergo therapy. As their sessions unfold, Mahesh’s vulnerable side comes to light, and Maya finds herself saving his life on two separate occasions. Amidst shared feelings of loneliness, a subtle connection blossoms between them. Meanwhile, Maya also finds herself drawn to Siddharth’s warmth and positivity, adding complexity to her emotional journey.
