A Sicilian director receives an offer from a regional producer to create a movie centered on a prominent figure from Catania province. After understanding that the project conflicts with his artistic vision, he refuses to participate. Nevertheless, the producer is relentless and coerces him into directing the film, threatening his life if he refuses.
