In a dystopian world where the government controls who is allowed to become a father, four men gather at a state-approved retreat nestled in the remote mountains of California. Upon arrival, they discover there is no guide or instructions to lead them. Left to navigate the challenge on their own, these men must demonstrate to themselves—and to each other—that they possess the qualities needed to earn the right to father children.
