Mukhila's father, Murthy, discovers her romantic relationship with Arul. Murthy, a boat mechanic by profession, kidnaps Arul aboard a boat and assaults him in an attempt to prevent their love from blossoming. He plots to kill Arul to ensure his daughter remains unpaired. During their perilous journey, the boat encounters mechanical failure in the open sea, and Murthy's foot gets caught in the motor. Facing a violent storm, both Murthy and Arul struggle to survive.
